Randy Orton, John Morrison & Jerry Lawler def. WWE Champion The Miz, Alex Riley & Sheamus
The ghosts of The Miz’s past, present and future came back to haunt him inside the ring. Teaming up with Alex Riley & Sheamus, the WWE Champion faced Randy Orton, John Morrison & Jerry “The King” Lawler in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. During the bout, The Viper decisively damaged Miz with a surprising RKO, which allowed Lawler to roll him up for the pin.
Afterward, the Raw GM arranged a second Raw match to take place at Tuesday night’s live SmackDown event: WWE Champion The Miz will clash with The Viper, Randy Orton. In the wake of the announcement, “The Cleveland Screamer” and Orton continued to brawl until Miz ran up the entrance ramp.
Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero vs. John Cena in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match on SmackDown live Tuesday night

After berating her main squeeze, Dolph Ziggler, for losing to John Cena, SmackDown Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero arranged a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. She and her Intercontinental Champion boyfriend will tackle Cena on a special, live edition of SmackDown Tuesday night at 9/8 CT on USA Network, as part of WWE Week.
John Cena def. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler in a Non-Title Match
Fresh off their respective victories at WWE TLC, John Cena and Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler each wanted to say a few words to the WWE Universe. Unfortunately for WWE’s 2010 Superstar of the Year, Ziggler, accompanied by his mouthy girlfriend Vickie Guerrero, had no qualms about interrupting his fellow Superstar. Rather than listen to Ziggler’s noise, the Raw GM arranged a match pitting him against Cena.
A resurrected Cena proved too overpowering for his foe, who defeated the Intercontinental Champion in solid fashion. After the bout, however, CM Punk left the Raw announce table and ambushed Cena with a steel chair across the back.

WWE Tag Team Champion Santino Marella & Tamina def. Ted DiBiase & Maryse
Love conquers all. Look no further than Santino Marella & Tamina. Not only did amore overpower the unlikely pairing, it also helped the couple defeat Ted DiBiase & Maryse. Their chemistry allowed them to best the former “golden couple” when Tamina managed to pin her blonde counterpart.

U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan def. William Regal
The student became the teacher when United States Champion Daniel Bryan faced off against William Regal. The Englishman, a former trainer and mentor of Bryan, battled his apt pupil in a non-title bout. In the end, it was Bryan who managed to teach Regal a thing or two.
After his victory, Bryan scored another win when his companions of late, Brie and Nikki Bella, each laid a sweet lip lock on the U.S. Champion.

Melina def. Eve and Alicia Fox in a Triple Threat Match
Melina must enjoy pain. How else to explain why she would slap Natalya when the Divas Champion tried to congratulate her on her victory moments earlier? The Latina lovely had defeated Eve and Alicia Fox in a Triple Threat Match to earn No. 1 contender status for the Divas Championship. Prior to their future championship bout, however, Melina sent a clear shot across the bow of the S.S. Nattie with her five finger affront before storming off.
Raw General Manager announced main event

It was enough to sap the Christmas spirit right out of the arena. After retaining the WWE Title at WWE TLC the night before, The Miz entered the ring bearing the gift of gab. As he bragged about his controversial victory over Randy Orton, his acolytes, Alex Riley and Michael Cole, joined him, representing the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present, respectively. His heart two sizes too small, Miz ripped The Viper and then trained his verbal fire onto John Morrison, who defeated Sheamus at WWE TLC to claim No. 1 contender status.

TLC results 12/19/10

With their golden prize glistening overhead, Ziggler, Kingston and Swagger fought tooth-and-nail amidst the unpredictable rungs of ruin, feverishly struggling to ascend a ladder before their opponents in order to snatch victory and ultimate glory. In the climactic moments, Kofi and Swagger both stood at the top of the ladder, simultaneously trying to yank the daggling title free. But, in a finish that left the WWE Universe completely breathless, the championship title suddenly broke loose, escaping both their grasps and falling to the canvas below. As time seemed to stand still, a scrambling Ziggler lunged for the gold, pulling it to his chest to steal the bizarre victory.
None of the high-caliber Superstars had battled in a regular Ladder Match before tonight’s WWE TLC. However, their combined experience in Money in the Bank Ladder Matches – Kofi competing in three, Ziggler in two and Swagger not only taking part in one, but triumphing to win the World Heavyweight Title five days later – added tremendously experience to their already intense showdown.
Each fierce SmackDown grappler also brought his own potential for mayhem into the ring. Kingston’s explosive high-flying style, as well as his ability to hit Trouble in Paradise from any position, seemed tailor-made for the high-altitude insanity of the Ladder Match. Swagger’s infamous ankle lock and an arsenal of technically superior maneuvers were second only to his ruthless nature. And, Ziggler possessed an increasing notorious sleeper hold and powerful Zig Zag.
In addition to their tremendous skill, the incredible ability of all three Superstars to transform the simple climbing device into a weapon of “mat" destruction and a launching pad for outright chaos kept the WWE Universe on the edge of its seat from start to finish. With all the weapons that could play a factor in the outcome of the match, no one could have predicted that it would all come down to who had the surest pair of hands.
However, Michelle McCool made a comeback for her squad, winning the Diva Battle Royal on Raw, securing the 2010 Slammy Award for Diva of the Year for herself and Layla. This earned the devious duo a spot in the historic Divas Tag Team Table Match against the Divas Champion & The Glamazon.
But no Lay-Cool Slammy Award could stop Natalya from plunging both Michelle & Layla through a table. It was a moment that will live in infamy in Divas history; a moment truly proving that a twosome like Divas Champion Natalya & The Glamazon are unstoppable together, even when it comes to the once-dominant Lay-Cool.
With Nexus brutes Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty causing a disqualification after blatantly attacking Kozlov, the four members of the yellow and black horde immediately swarmed on the WWE Tag Team Champions and began to tear them apart. And then Wade Barrett entered.
Stalking to the ring with a steel chair in his clenched fist, Barrett looked like a man intent on raising hell and did just that, battering the hapless tag team with vicious whacks from the chair. Standing above the fallen bodies, the Englishman exuded an air of supreme confidence that seemed to form a much-needed solidarity in The Nexus.
After weeks of uncertainty and infighting, the band of rebels looks to be more focused than ever and they are coming for John Cena.
The Celtic Warrior unleashed a sound strategy on his agile and quick opponent by targeting Morrsion’s leg throughout the contest. The Shaman of Sexy relies heavily on a speedy and high-octane offense that employs the art of parkour. The brutish and powerful High King of WWE was fully aware of Morrison’s abilities and did what he could to neutralize The Monday Night Delight and prevent him from climbing the ladder.
However, even nursing an injured leg, John Morrison would ultimately prove his resilience and determination by overcoming insurmountable odds and capturing the contract to become the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship.
Though Orton seemed primed to humble The Awesome One with a trip through a table at WWE TLC – capturing his seventh WWE Title in the process – The Miz combated The Viper’s venom with a healthy dose of deception during this no disqualification contest. While the referee was incapacitated following a nasty tumble out of the ring, Orton powerbombed The Miz’s intervening apprentice, Alex Riley, through a table. But The Miz immediately retaliated by hitting WWE’s Apex Predator with a Skull-Crushing Finale.
The WWE Champion then positioned Orton atop the debris, enabling him to convince the still-reeling referee that Orton had already lost the match. Unfortunately for the crafty titleholder, the post-match instant replay exposed The Miz’s ruse to the official, who ordered the match to restart.
Driven by frustration following The Miz’s near-victory, Orton seemed unstoppable once the action resumed, but it was the WWE Champion’s apprentice that would again determine the bout’s outcome. While Orton stood on the apron, The Miz pushed Riley into his opponent – a split-second maneuver that sent The Viper crashing through a table set up at ringside. This time, the WWE Champion sealed an official win when the referee witnessed him putting Orton through the pine. Twice in a single evening, The Miz had stolen victories from The Viper’s graspIn a match where the usage of steel chairs was completely legal, the underhanded Barrett had a distinct advantage. After all, when it comes to cruelty, few Superstars are as sadistic as the Nexus leader. The Englishman displayed this mean streak throughout much of the bout, battering Cena with an endless amount of punishing chair shots. But the powerhouse would not be denied and he fought back against Barrett, finally destroying his rival with a devastating Attitude Adjustment onto six steel chairs.
The former WWE Champion was not done yet, though. To bring a fitting end to his opposition with Barrett, Cena dragged The Nexus leader to the top of the entrance ramp and entombed him under a pile of steel chairs from the WWE TLC set. Right then and there, Cena buried this rivalry.
In a brutal battle with Kane, Edge, Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio all vying for the World Title, The Rated-R Superstar dethroned The Big Red Monster in a match format many describe as his specialty. In fact, it was Edge’ seventh time in a TLC Match and he was in the first TLC Match ever at SummerSlam 2000.
On this night, Edge Speared Kane off the ring apron and through a table, allowing The Ultimate Opportunist to ascend a ladder and claim his prize.
Throughout the bout, tables, ladders and chairs all came into play, as each Superstar used each weapon to his advantage. In one high-risk move, The Rated-R Superstar jumped from atop a ladder, crushing Kane through a table outside the ring.
Showing no fear, Rey Mysterio utilized tables suspended from the ceiling to launch himself onto Kane.
Ultimately, though, it was Edge who was able to absorb all the punishment thrown his way and go on to become champion.
